Birthday Party October 17, 2009

Mom, Dad and Birthday Girl. I have painted the little one twice and both times she has wanted a spider. The theme of her Birthday Party was the garden and bugs. Each child painted a flower pot and then got a plant for it, each child was given a net to capture bugs (rubber bugs) that were hidden all around the house. They also were given little garden tools and a coloring book with their name printed on it. The cake was a dirt cake and it was delicious. This was such a fun party. As you can see, even the adults participated.

Oktoberfest The Village Corner Restaurant, Stone Mountain GA. October 10 & 11, 2009

This was a fantastic event with all kinds of activities for children. There were braided hair ribbons for the girls and each child was given a beautiful bookmark with their name in calligraphy. They got to churn butter, make their own big, hot pretzel and a taffy apple and get their faces painted by me. All of this was at a cost of $6.00 per child. Unbelievable. There was a bounce house and a magic show too. German music all day along with folk dancing. German Food - it doesn't get much getter than that. Ate dinner on Saturday night at the restaurant and brunch on Sunday. The food was so good. Definitely going back there to eat. They also have a fantastic bakery which I raided. There was a lovely gentleman doing beautiful portraits. All in all it was a great two days with lots of great talent and great energy.

Kind of small and very spread out, but fun . I helped a friend face paint on Sunday. Two women in our booth were doing hair "Decorate Your Mane". I got mine done. Fun, Fun, Fun. Lots of scare crows in town and a great clown train.

Santa Academy

Fabulous time at Santa Academy -- great classes, great food -- got to make some new friends and visit with old friends.
If you like to read books that will make you laugh and cry and (as Ed said), sometimes laugh and cry at the same time, read
